Alstede Farms Pick Your Own (PYO)
A Visit to Alstede Farms: Visit our working farm for a truly memorable farm experience! Not only do we offer a Pick Your Own (PYO) experience but we are a fun family destination where you can plan on spending the day. Visit and feed our friendly farm animals, enjoy children’s activities like pony rides, bouncy house, or wagon train rides, live music on weekends, wine and hard cider tasting by Tomasello, and more. We offer hot food and snacks, freshly made doughnuts and coffees, homemade ice cream and more. We have ample parking, rest rooms, and baby changing areas. Visit our Hours of Operation page for more details on availability schedule.
Pick Your Own Admission Hours: Hours will be posted next spring when Pick Your Own reopens. You must arrive in that 30 minute window, but can stay for picking as long as you like until closing.
What’s Included in PYO Admission: Pick Your Own (PYO) admission includes the container to hold fruits/vegetables and cost of produce picked. Admission also includes scenic hay wagon rides around our farm, access to our farm mazes/trails (season dependent), and access to our giant hay pyramid.
Buying PYO Tickets: Admission to our Pick Your Own (PYO) areas requires the purchase of a container. Picked items may only be placed in purchased containers. Please purchase tickets online before arriving at the farm in order to streamline the admission process. Entry tickets purchased at the farm will incur an extra fee of $8 fee per ticket. We offer various container sizes depending on what is currently available to pick. Extra containers may be purchased at check-in. Children two (2) years and above will need to purchase PYO admission.
What Can I Pick:
We have a large variety of PYO offerings. Items available for picking vary depending on month and season. You can view our general harvest schedule as a guideline of what we typically offer for picking each year. The availability and items may vary as weather and other conditions can affect crops and harvest timing. Visit our “what can I pick today page” for current availability.
Department of Health & FDA Mandated Pet Policy: Please review our pet policies before arrival. Please be advised that pets/dogs/animals are not permitted in the PYO fields due to updated Department of Health and FDA Food Safety guidelines.
Handicap Accessible Hay Wagons: We offer handicap accessible hay wagon rides for those needing that service. Please click here to learn more.
Please be Warned: Theft of product or services will result in prosecution.
Pick Your Own Helpful Tips:
Coming to the farm is a fun way to enjoy the outdoors and actually see where your food is grown. Although there are tractor drawn wagon rides available around the farm, you may need to walk through the fields and orchards as you pick, so we recommend that you wear comfortable, walking shoes, stay hydrated, wear sunscreen, and maybe a hat on those hot, sunny days. We have pull carts on site to assist you with your harvest available on a first-come-first-serve basis.
